Golden Hill mission was founded by Mr. George O 'Sullivan in 1952.
He was assisted by three ladies; The Tatum sisters.

The church started as a Sunday school class at 5:00 pm each Sunday evening, growing to an average attendance of over 150 persons.

Sunday night services were held by Bro. O'Sullivan who was assisted by his brother-in-law Mr. Tibbits.

Bro. O'Sullivan then started a private school to cater to the educational needs of the people. Run by two young ladies from the Faith Homes; Ms. Mae Williams and Ralda Saddler. His children also assisted with this ministry. Another young lady, Ms. Joyce Gray took over from Ms. Williams and Ms. Saddler and the classes continued until it's closure when she left the island.

Day services started with the assistance of Mr. Stimpson who preached in the day while Bro. O'Sullivan focused on Sunday school and night services along with assistance from his children, this continued into the 1970's.

A summer retreat to Hope Gardens was instituted along with Vacation Bible School (VBS) which began in 1956. This cause was brought to life with the assistance of Canadian missionaries Ms. Rose Dedaloupe and Ms. Anderson from the Faith Home.

The blessing of community babies was also a joy for Bro. O'Sullivan. Assistance was offered to all in need by the mission.

Easter and Christmas seasons saw treats coming at the hands of Bro. Sullivan who on Christmas morning after services were held, went caroling through the district distributing gifts to all the Sunday school members.

In the 1970's he partnered with the Constant Spring Wesleyan Holiness, his home church and the mission became the Golden Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church.

Our Mission: Making disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything Jesus commanded according to Scripture. "Write the vision and make it plain…” Habakkuk 2:2
