He Leadeth Me

I was at Vacation Bible School when a sister looked at me and said “Rev. Brown”. This was after I had discussion with my pastor, Rev. Calvin Brown about theological courses at the Jamaica Theological Seminary. He recommended a course and said ‘I would recommend only if I know for sure that you have the calling from the Lord.’

I went home and prayed about it and asked the Lord to give me a sign, show me the direction You wants me to go. This was a Thursday night but by the Saturday evening I was talking to a Deacon and he referred to me as Pastor Brown.
The Sunday I went to a Convention in Portland, an elderly lady asked me for a donation on her rally card, I gave it to her. Her response to me was “thank you very much my pastor.” At this time I felt like Apostle Peter when he betrayed Jesus.

The confirmation continued at an annual church conference the following week after the Convention when I was called pastor, only that this time it happened in the presence of my local church associate pastor, Rev. Karen Brown. The following day while at church I was called Pastor Brown in the presence of Rev. Calvin Brown.
I started hearing the voice of the Lord, which led me into discussions again with my pastors. I also had a personal encounter with the Lord when I was sick. He healed me and filled me with the Holy Spirit.

Now I am fully convinced that I was called to be a preacher of the Gospel. I am in Bible school and I am determined to go in the direction that God is leading me. This is my testimony.
