PURPOSE
The purpose of the Sunday School is to extend the kingdom of God through educational, spiritual, missionary and benevolent work of the Wesleyan Holiness Church to which we are committed and fulfill the Great Commission. FUNCTION
Each local church provides a Sunday school ministry which normally serves as the basic agency for small group systematic Bible study. The Bible studies and other programs or events promote making more and better disciples of Jesus Christ. ADMINISTRATION / STRUCTURE The District Sunday School Secretary is tasked with working with the local churches Sunday School Superintendents who are responsible for the operations of Sunday School. In addition, the District Sunday School Secretary works in collaboration with the District Education Secretary and the District Education Committee in executing functions and scheduled activities of the Department. The Sunday School Department is governed by the Pastor of each local church and managed by a Sunday School Superintendent who is responsible for the Sunday School teachers and students. They also provide statistical and qualitative quarterly reports to the district. Also, the Sunday School Superintendents provides access to Sunday school materials including curriculum where the prescribed Sunday School books are derived from the Wesleyan Publishing House.
